I had set up a map to a PDF file and successfully downloaded it as well as emailed it as an attachment. Today I had to create a new map to an updated PDF file. I deleted the old map and file, and I can successfully view the file using the EXPORT to PDF button in PRO2PDF Export tab. However, the downloaded file from my form cannot be opened and I haven’t received the emails subsequent to my changes UPDATE: I receive a PDF with no field values merged. I do notice that somehow yesterday I was able to set the default file name to “Vendor Contract.pdf” and today it is saving them as “Form.pdf” – I cannot find where I set that name yesterday.
I am very inexperienced with WordPress so hope it is some easy change I made to either the mapper or the form that is causing problems.
adminKeymasterIt sounds like there is another field map layout that is trying to attach a PDF and is failing. Check to be sure all other field map layouts for the same form are deleted. If they are, try recreating the form’s email action and delete the old email action.
Optionally, you can complete this form if you’d like us to take a look at your installation.

adminKeymasterRegarding the PDF File Name, by default, the name will be the same name as the field map layout. Optionally, there is a setting called “PDF file name in e-mails:” on the field map layout, or, if you have the paid version you can use filename shortcode parameter to dynamically change the filename when PDFs are downloaded by your users. NOTE: This feature does not work for the filename of PDF attachments.

adminKeymasterFYI – We have added dynamic filename functionality to the Field Map Layout. You may now enter Formidable field shortcodes as well as static text into the “PDF file name in e-mails:” text box located just below the “Attach file to Email notifications” option on each field map layout.
Update your plugin to acquire the functionality. We remain at your service.
