Hello,
I’m using an inline format for documents my company uses as the wording of the document can change depending on the educator the user is being trained by. This allows me to conditional hide or show certain paragraph fields and the one being shown is what will map. However I’m noticing the format of the text doesn’t transfer to the pdf.
For example there are bullet points that don’t show up, other words that need to be bolded will show as such in the ‘preview’ page of the documents but not the pdf. Using an html field instead to format the text doesn’t seem to work as the merged pdf shows the html tags and shortcode and doesn’t copy the format either. Is there a work around for this?
Also, while doing run-throughs, the downloaded pdf shows the inputted information for the previous submissions. However the emailed pdf shows everything correctly. I’m not sure why this is happening? This isn’t a huge problem as the emailed pdf is more important for us but would there be a way to disable the download option and just have the emailed pdf only?
adminKeymasterUnfortunately, text formatting is not supported by PDFtk, therefore, not supported by the plugin. Any formatting of the PDF would need to be done using the PDF form field settings, and/or with PDF javascript.
Regarding; “the downloaded pdf shows the inputted information for the previous submissions.” Sounds like the dataset shortcode parameter is set to a static value rather than [id]. Verify that the dataset parameter is; dataset=[id]
Let us know if [id] works for you while we remain at your service.
