Hi,
we are breaking our brains on trying to understand how to get started with this plugin.
We do exactly what you say in the video, but when we click merge, we don’t get any form field to be mapped to any pdf field. So, I have a question: do we need to upload a pdf with pre-made field? If yes, how do we creat fields in the pdf prior to uploading it? Do we need to do this with a special software?

Yes, a pre-made PDF form is required. You may use any Adobe Acrobat Form creator. PDFEscape.com is online and free. The plugin requirements are listed on the website here.

Hi, I am having a problem: all PDFs which I download through my website cannot be opened. All PDF software provide with an error message (e.g. Chrome: it was not possible to open the pdf). I am talking about normally working pdf which, once have been uploaded in my website, cannot be opened at subsequent download. This affect also pdf generated by PDF2PRO starting from a Formidable Pro submission. The funny thing is that PDF generated by PDF2PRO can be normally opened when downloaded from the email motification message, but cannot be opened when downloading it from the download page after form submission. Curiosly, those two PDFs (the one in the email and the one on the website) have different file names.
We would need to take a look at the Original PDF, the Field Map Layout, and the shortcode used to generate the PDF to find the cause of your issue.

Hi, I have the usual problem. I have created a new field map based on atotal new pdf, I have named the dataset using a random field (in this case “Title”, a field which can contain Prof, Dr, Mr or Mrs). However, as datasets, I am getting a very long list with different dates (but I have created just one dataset). Whatever dataset I choose, the PDF always remains frozen to one submission. SO, I can submit the form many different times with many different entries, but as download pdf I always get the same PDF; filled with a set of data from one single submission.
Sorry, I appreciate this plugin very much, but isn’t there any way to make it a little bit easier to use?PS: I wold like to add a screenshot of the dataset I am getting, but I cannot find an upload window. What I see in the dataset list is something like this:

Dr – 02/24/2018We logged in and changed the dataset name to the 2nd mapped field [267](Name), however you can change it to any other field that you’d prefer by selecting the radio button on the first column of the Field Map Layout and then save the Field Map Layout.
If you need a different list with download links, we also created this Formidable View list of entries that includes a download link for each entry. You can edit the view to create a better list for your needs.

Yes, we agree, that’s why we created a replacement plugin that will be released next week called E2Pdf. E2Pdf is much easier to use. Thanks for loggin in and helping. The problem is not really the name of the field map, the problem is that the download link generated by the field may always point to the same pdf. So, if I fill a new order form online, I will end up in getting the pdf of a previous order.
I am glad to hear you are releasing a new plugin! Will it completely substitute this one? Will it be downloadable as an update, or do we need to uninstall this one?

Change the shortcode’s dataset=xx parameter to dataset=[id] to download the current entry, as shown on the demo video at 3:25.
The new version is a totally new plugin and the beta version will be available to current PRO2PDF subscribers at no charge. Both plugins may be used at the same time.

Hi, I wrote you also on E2PDF because I bought also that plugin, but I am not able to get a pfd with neither of the two.
The latest errors I am getting from PRO2PDF after substituting dataset=”587″ with dataset=[id] ae the following:1- error in the download link, which is now displayed as “Download layout=”1003″]” (???)
2- error in producing and seeing the pdf on Chrome: Chrome says it is impossible to open the pdf.I can produce screenshots.
