    When I install this plugin, this message appears across the top of the page:

    WARNING: is writable(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(C:\Users\IWPD_1~3\AppData\Local\Temp) is not within the allowed path(s): (E:/Inetpub/vhosts//marcmcmillin.com\;C:\Windows\Temp\) in E:\Inetpub\vhosts\marcmcmillin.com\findyourancestors.life\wp-content\plugins\formidablepro-2-pdf\fpropdf.php on line 136

    and it says that the Formidable PRO2PFF reqires activation however it is already activated.

    It appears your environment did not allow the plugin to create a temp folder in the root of your WP installation. Try creating a /temp folder in the WP root folder, and reinstall if the error does not disappear automatically.

    Let us know if that worked or if more assistance is required while we remain at your service.

    Thank you for your prompt response!

    I have added a /temp folder to my base directory and now, in addition to the message I sent before, I’m getting this message:

    The plugin generated 353 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

    And when I try to go to Setting for the plug-in, it still thinks it need to be activated.

    This is why I was confused, when I click on the Formidable PRO2PDF from the Dashboard. .. I don’t get any tabs because the plug-in is keeps asking me to activate it although it shows as activated from the Dashboard. I have a screenshot if you go to:

    The message you are receiving is telling you to install and activate “Formidable Forms”, not PRO2PDF.

    The following plugin would be required;

    Try setting the temp folders with 777 permission.

    Is this an intranet or internet WP installation?
    Is this on a multisite installation?

    This installation is on a hosting service with virtual servers. I have a single account with multiple sites
