This issue is corrected by cleaning up the field map layouts. Any layout with “Attach PDF to Email notifications” marked as YES will send the associated pdf. Duplicates can cause undesired results.
Hi, I am having the same issue the file attached to the email if I put in the email’s body the Shortcode for Download Link or Button is an empty pdf with written No layout or dataset selected. If I write in the body of the email the Shortcode for Automatic Download the email doesn’t send. And of course I selected yes for the Attach file to Email notifications in the Field Map Designer. How to clean up the field map layouts? I hope I that I can have more at least 4 field map layouts with notification on the same website without having problems.
To clean up the Field Map Layouts, select the layout you want to delete, scroll to the bottom of the Field Map Designer page and click the DELETE ENTIRE FIELD MAP button.
Shortcodes do not work within email messages/actions, emails are sent when “Attach file to Email notifications” is set to YES – AND – the “Email Action” box is checked.
Does the “Export to PDF” button work from the Designer for the layout you want to send by email? Are you working online or an offline Intranet?
