Hi,
I am using the plugin with great success with Formidable Pro and all is working well. However . . . I have made a small mistake on my pdf form – the basic form part not the mapped fields element.
If I went via ftp to uploads>fpropdf_forms – downloaded the pdf form, made the amendment and saved the form with the same file name – would it all still work please ? It is only a slight amendment – just changing the date – the mapped field positions would remain as they would not be chanaged and their position would remain the same.
Would this work please ?

Yes, if you edit as you indicted, all will continue to work as expected.
NOTE: You may also change PDF field positions with no issue, however, if you add/remove/change any PDF fields you will only need to correct the mapping for the added/removed/changed fields.
