There is no functionality to auto-print a PDF. The best you can do is auto-download download="auto" or auto-open in a browser tab using inline=1.

The latest update of PRO2PDF fixes the issue with merging the ampersand sign. You must update your plugin from the WP dashboard to realize the change.

Clarification: As a workaround, remove the the ampersand sign from the FF and PDF option value. You can also use FF’s separate fields so your display value can include the ampersand sign, but the export value will not.

Bug is confirmed, we will work to correct the bug in a future update, at this point we do not have a time frame for the update.

As a workaround, remove the ampersand sign from the name of the PDF field and all will work as expected.

    Refund has been issued.

Our latest plugin. E2Pdf, will be adding the required PDF Javascript functionality sometime in the future, it’s on our road-map, but not yet on our calendar.

If the workflow allowed for calculations to be made after the PDF is opened on the users computer, then a button could be added to run the necessary javascript ‘manually’. Any automated solution will be sometime in the future of E2Pdf.

It’s optional… If we can find the issue from the PRO2PDF template, then it’s an issue effecting all users. If we cannot find the issue from the PRO2PDF template, then it’s an issue that is limited to your installation.

So, the less invasive route is for us to check the template. From the PRO2PDF plugin, go to the “Templates” tab, then EXPORT the Field Map Layout that has the issue and upload it here.

Or, provide login and ftp credentials on this form so we can troubleshoot your installation.

Or, use Formidable Form’s “Separate Values” functionality as a workaround. (Although, we’d prefer to find/fix the issue.)

Yes, although we thought all the special character issues were resolved. If that is the case, we would like to investigate your issue if possible. Can you upload the PRO2PDF template to this form?

    Make sure;
    1. The PDF field is not mapped more than once on the Field Map Layout
    2. The option values are exactly the same by copying the Formidable Form checkbox option value then paste it into the “Export Value” of the PDF checkbox field. (Any extra spaces or characters will not match) Then, upload the PDF to the plugin with the exact same filename to overwrite the existing PDF.

    If you still need our assistance, we’ll need;
    1. The PDF form
    2. A screenshot of the Formidable Form in design view so we can see the option value (and any separate value)
    3. A screenshot of the entire field map layout.
Or, complete this form and we’ll quickly login/out and let you know where the issue is.

No bug. The internal PDF calculations will not work with merged data. You will need to add hidden calculation fields to your Formidable form then merge the hidden field to your PDF.

NOTE: You may also calculate and evaluate fields using the “Formidable: Dynamic” option found near the bottom of the “Webform Data Field ID” dropdown on the Field Map Layout.

All issues were resolved yesterday (approx. 15hrs ago) which was a loss of critical server resources. Please confirm you are not experiencing any issues, if you are let us know what’s happening.

Yes, PRO2PDF will accomplish the described task.

Out of the box, PDFs would not be “stored” on the server. From the plugin’s EXPORT tab, admins could at any time select the form, then an entry, then click the EXPORT button to generate the PDF based on the saved data in Formidable Forms.

If there will be over 500 entries, we would suggest creating a Formidable View to list or search for the entry and add the PRO2PDF shortcode to the view so admin could just click a link to generate the PDF.

Optionally, PRO2PDF has an add-on to generate PDFs when submit is clicked, and save the PDF to a folder on the local server.

Our free version works with 1 Formidable Form to an unlimited number of PDF templates. However, the paid version is required to merge signatures and images and is required to save PDfs locally with the add-on extension.

“idealchoiceinsurance.com” is the server here PRO2PDF was originally created and is a known part of the plugin, it’s not related malware.

This is the third similar request we have received in the past hour. We are working to find the cause of the issue and we will not stop until the error is resolved and full service is restored.

At this time we do not know the cause or origin, but have confirmed the issue is effecting several users but is NOT server-wide.

We remain at your service and will update you as soon as we know more.

Any solution created with Formidable Forms would look and act different than the example.

PRO2PDF does not offer a view of the PDF in WordPress, E2PDF does. (Free version includes all features with 1 one-page PDF template)

To look more like the example above, I might create the previews as a Formidable View and also create the PDF templates, maybe as a ‘final preview’.

Regarding ‘What would be the cost?’ – The 10 Templates annual price is $50 for E2Pdf. Due to the nature of Formidable Forms, the time and UI customization required to develop would be outside our development support. You could try someone on the Formidable Community Slack Group. We may be able to offer our services to create a simpler version, if needed let us know.

The account shows 1 out of 2 sites is currently being used, however, you are only licensed for 1 site, therefore you may use the activation keys for the same site, one for http and one for https.

To change to a different site you must deactivate the current site from your account page here, then enter the key into the new site. Use this form to provide us with screenshots of any errors you receive, or provide us with login credentials if you want us to take a look at the installation.

We will need a bit more information to provide additional support for your signature merge issue…
. Confirm you are mapping the Formidable Signature Field to a PDF “Text Field” – not a PDF Signature field.
. Upload a screenshot of the Field Map Layout showing the signature map using this form.
. Let us know what is merging to the field, if anything.

Use this form if you would like us to login to your installation to quickly find and resolve any issue(s).

The license key you provided was not a renewal key, it was a new key. License keys issued prior to December 1, 2018 may migrate to E2Pdf at no charge.

You may request a refund for the PRO2PDF purchase, and then purchase a new E2Pdf license. Old PRO2PDF templates may be converted to E2Pdf templates here.

If you have an old license key, you could renew that key then migrate and use both plugins until the PRO2PDF expiration date, at that point you would need to renew one or the other.

What are you seeing in the PDF text field after the merge?

We are continually improving E2Pdf, however, we are strictly maintaining PRO2PDF which relies on PDFtk. PDFtk has not been updated in years and may become out of date sometime in the future.

E2Pdf is our flagship plugin. It’s the most amazing PDF plugin for WordPress and we’re just getting started with it.

    You should purchase E2Pdf.

Create a custom search form in Formidable and add the PRO2PDF shortcode to the Results View. You can play with the results view to create a really dynamic back-end admin form.
