In the PDF example you sent to us, the “E” checkbox’s value is set to ‘Yes’ rather than ‘E’, so it won’t map correctly… but all others are merging correctly. Here’s the web form and merge example.

Yes, that’s exactly what the plugin was designed to do. Be sure to take a look at the demo video, and follow these steps to automatically generate the field map layout…

. Use copy/paste to rename the PDF fields to match the Formidable field names EXACTLY.
. Select the “Enable automated layout creation for new field maps” on the plugin’s SETTINGS tab.
. Now, when you create a new field map layout the plugin will correctly map all fields except ADDRESS, CHECKBOX, and REPEATABLE fields, which must be mapped manually.

Regarding the PDF issue;
. Were any changes to the web form or PDF made that may have caused the issue?
. Are you able to EXPORT PDFs from the plugin’s EXPORT tab?
– If no, is the PDF form listed in the “Select PDF file to work with:” dropdown field on the field map layout?
– If yes, sounds like the PRO2PDF shortcode is not correctly configured.

Use Formidable’s View shortcode in the text area that becomes available when the “FORMIDABLE: DYNAMIC” option is selected. Use one or more of the View’s shortcode parameters to query the correct form entry.

Create and map a view to each PDF field, if you have 50 different fields, then create 50 views – one for each PDF field.

Merging form fields using the inline methods above will not produce font or text sizes that are different from the static text, we use them everyday. Which method are you using to produce the demo.pdf and can you provide a screenshot here or email to support AT formidablepro2pdf DOT com?

Regarding the date field, using inline method #1, you can use PHP date formatting.

like this for 03/08/2018… [123 format=”m/d/Y”] where 123 is the date Field_ID.

The signature is an image created by Formidable’s signature plugin, ask Formidable Forms support if there is a way to change the color of the image and us know what they say and we’ll ask our senior developer if there is something we can do too.

For the Date Format, select the MM/DD/YYYY – 12/31/2015 option of the Format dropdown on the field map layout as shown here. Let us know if you need a different format or have any issues.

We reduced the size of the PDF by using Acrobat’s “Combine Files” function which resulted in a file size of 156k. Upload the file to the plugin, be sure to use the same filename which will overwrite the existing file and all will continue to work without the need to remap all the fields.
