No, inline does not “auto download” and visa-versa… specifically, inline forces the document to open on a new tab. You can have two shortcodes in the on submit message box, one for the user to click and another to auto download.
However, it still appears your WP install has an issue with redirecting when the auto download parameter is used.

Try disabling all plugins except the Formidable plugins, if all works as expected then add the plugins back one-by-one and test until you find the plugin causing the redirect. Let us know the result.

It appears your site has redirect or security plugin(s) that is preventing PRO2PDF from resolving the PDF download link. We are unable to access the dashboard to troubleshoot any further. Try adding inline=1 to the end of your shortcode and remove the download=”auto” parameter.

Merged PDF files are created on-demand based on data that is saved in Formidable Forms. PDFs are only “saved” by the user on the user’s system, or as an attachment in emails. Merged PDFs are not saved on the server.

Sounds like the PDF is too large (over 5mb) or incompatible with PRO2PDF (LiveCycle form). Are you able to forward the PDF to our support email for further review?

Our plugin will merge and attach PDFs to emails that are sent using Formidable’s email action which may be triggered by clicking Submit, Update and also upon “Import”.
While we have not tested it, “Import” should work for your requirement by exporting your list, then deleting all entries from the form and then importing all entries back into the form. However, the standard WP email functionality is not suitable for reliably sending 800 emails at the same time, so you will likely need to install an SMTP plugin for sending emails from WP.

Our plugin includes a shortcode that may be used to generate a PDF of the user’s entry, however, you must first create a fillable PDF form and map the PDF to Formidable with the plugin’s ‘field map layout’.
