Before removing the plugin (or after you reinstall) you must delete each of the field map layouts by selecting them from their dropdown “Field Map to use” and clicking “Delete entire field map” then delete each of the pdf files by selecting them from their dropdown “Select PDF file to work with” and clicking “Delete the PDF file”.
The Formidable Form data must be deleted from the Formidable Form Entries screen.
If you enable “Attach PDF to Email notifications” option, and create an e-mail notification, then you will receive PDF files to your mailbox. You won’t need to insert download shortcode to On-Submit message text boxes or into the email message. It just works.
But first, let’s make sure the pdf shortcut is setup correctly by making it work in the OnSubmit…

Sounds like the plugin will work for you, except you must use the PDF’s built-in submit option to sent after the customer signs the document. (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/X/pro/using/WS58a04a822e3e50102bd615109794195ff-7dd6.w.html)
Functionality and support for the Formidable Signature add-on is available in the PRO version of the plugin.
From the Field Map Designer, create a map from the Formidable signature field to a pdf text field and select the Signature from the Format Dropdown. That’s it – the plugin only uses the pdf text field’s coordinates to insert the .jpg image that is created by the Formidable Signature Add-on.
If you have attempted the above and you’re still getting random text, there may be an issue with how the signature is saved on your server – we can take a look if you send temporary login credentials to support(at)formidablepro2pdf.com or reply for alternatives.
This is not a common error, are you using the free or paid version? Has the plugin ever worked on your server?
There is nothing in the plugin to help with this issue. We used Java in the past to split large fields into other hidden formidable fields that span to 2nd and 3rd pages of the pdf.
Our apologies Tom, all the messages from this forum ended up in a pending folder – the issue is resolved. Data is not stored on our server and we are adding an SSL certificate this weekend.

Repeatable Form Field is a function available in the PRO version by selecting “Repeatable” from the FORMAT dropdown in the Field Map Designer which then produces a “Repeatable Formatting…” text area where you can add the field ID [xxxx] and any other text or character.

Formatting options and the select-box of PDF fields are only available when using the PRO version of the plugin or the free version with PDFtk through our server. Running PDFtk on your server will only provide a text field which requires you to enter the field ID as it appears in the uploaded PDF.
Indeed, the executable is installed here: /usr/local/bin/ so for MAMP and creating a symbolic link via
sudo ln -s /usr/local/bin/pdftk /usr/bin/pdftk
may be necessary.While we are happy to continue providing standard support to install PDFtk and PRO2PDF on Linux, we are unable to provide any support for the Mac OSX – as it’s always missing a byte.

Yes, put the exact field id in the formatting box. Did you get it to work as needed?

Premium support is offered to users of the PRO version via Skype and Email. I don’t see your name or email listed on an order, however we will still provide answers to all your questions online. As you can see from the other user questions, most support requests are answered within a day, and many feature requests are completed and released to all in 2-3 days. Unfortunately your questions required our main developer, who was on vacation for a week, he’s back now but a little backed up with work.

The PRO version of the plugin has an “Add a Second Dataset” feature that should accomplish your requested functionality. You would simply map a layout for step one, and another for step two, then use the Add a Second Dataset feature to print the PDF after step two.

This is a doable request as we are using the Formidable Pro Signature image to display a signature on PDFs. We will attempt to add this feature to the next release (or following release).
